With easy wins over Kazakhstan and Georgia, Cuba and Azerbaijan took the lead of this 41th Olympiad after 6 rounds.

Russia had a bad day against Uzbekistan, but finally won the match despite the loss of Kramnik against Kasimdzhanov.

Norway won their match against Italy 3-1. Fabiano Caruana had a very good start and had some pressure over the world champion, but after some inaccuracies from the Italian player, Magnus Carlsen finally won the game.

France can defenetly say goodbye to the first places after drawing their match against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
